1. What to Expect

mountain coaster trackThe Rowdy Bear Mountain Coaster is a gravity propelled alpine coaster that reaches speeds up to 35 miles per hour while winding through the woods of Rowdy Bear Mountain! This attraction is similar to a roller coaster as the coaster cart is securely attached to a steel track, but the difference is you control the speed of the ride with a brake lever! You push the handles forward to release the brake and pull the handles back to slow down. The ride begins with a leisurely ride up the mountain, making it the perfect time to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Once at the top, you begin your thrilling adventure back down the mountain!

2. Ride Requirements

The coaster carts on the Rowdy Bear Mountain Coaster can accommodate single or double riders, so ride alone or join a friend! Note that riders must be at least 3 years old and 38 inches tall to ride, and riders ages 3 to 9 must ride with someone who is 16 years or older. If you want to operate the cart as a single driver, keep in mind you must be at least 54 inches tall. The coaster safely operates in almost any weather condition including rain and snow. The maximum weight for the coaster carts is 375 pounds in dry conditions and 330 pounds in wet conditions.

One of the unique aspects of this ride is that it features the latest intelligent Distance Control System on the Carts, which is a safety feature that prevents the carts from coming in contact with one another. Therefore, you never have to worry about colliding with the rider in front of you or a rider hitting your cart from behind!

4. Operating Hours

The operating hours for the Rowdy Bear Mountain Coaster are Monday through Thursday from noon to 7 pm, Friday from noon until 8 pm, Saturday from 10 am to 8 pm and Sunday from 10 am to 7 pm. After riding this attraction during the daylight hours, be sure to come back at night to experience the ride through the woods at night!
